Who we are

VeriProp provides cryptographic condition documentation for rental properties. We help operators and tenants create tamper-proof records of property condition at move-in and move-out. VeriProp is operated by Louis Schelling, Czarnoleska 8A, 51-621 Wrocław, Poland. Our contact for privacy matters is contact@veriprop.app.

What data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Photos of property rooms and conditions, taken by tenants during move-in and move-out documentation.
  • Phone numbers, used to verify tenant identity via one-time passcode before documentation begins.
  • Condition records, including cryptographic hashes, GPS coordinates at the time of capture, and timestamps.
  • Usage data, such as page visits and feature interactions, used to improve the product.

Why we collect it

We process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): processing is necessary to provide the condition documentation service you or your operator have contracted for.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): we process anonymised condition data to improve accuracy and build fair baselines across the rental market.
  • Location data (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): GPS coordinates are collected at the time of capture solely to verify the location of documentation. This is required to provide the service.

How long we keep it

We retain data in accordance with legal requirements and the needs of the service:

  • Evidence and cryptographic records are retained for the duration of the tenancy plus three years, in accordance with Art. 17(3)(b) GDPR. This retention is necessary for potential legal proceedings.
  • Personal identifiers (name, phone number) can be erased on request where no legal obligation requires retention. The cryptographic record and hash chain are preserved even after erasure.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following processors:

  • Supabase (cloud database and file storage). Data is stored in the EU. VeriProp uses Supabase as its cloud infrastructure provider.
  • Google (AI analysis of sealed property photos). Photos are processed post-seal to generate condition assessments. No photos are used to train Google models.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access: you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: you can ask us to delete your personal identifiers where no legal retention obligation applies. Note that sealed evidence records cannot be altered -- this is by design and required for legal defensibility.
  • Portability: you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@veriprop.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority (UODO) at uodo.gov.pl.

We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. We use session cookies only, which are necessary for the service to function. These are not used to track you across other websites.
